Ingredients

    t
    wasabi powder
  • 1
    clv
    garlic, minced
  • 1
    T
    fresh ginger, minced, peeled
  • 5

    rice vinegar
  • 2
    T
    sugar, or more to taste
  • 1⁄2
    t
    salt, or more to taste
  • 1
    T
    dark (asian) sesame oil
  • 2

    black sesame seeds, or toasted white sesame seeds
  • 3

    napa cabbage, thinly shreaded. may use green or savoy cabbage.

    carrots, shredded.
  • 1⁄2
     
    medium sized red bell pepper, sliced thin.

    scallions, white part minced, green part thinly sliced.
  • 1⁄2

    snow peas, ends trimmed, strings removed and pods cut into slivers.

Instructions

Mix the wasabi with 2 teaspoons of water and let stand for 5 minutes to make a paste. Add garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, sugar and salt. Whisk till dissolved. Whisk in sesame oil and seeds.

Stir cabbage, carrots, pepper, scallions, and snow peas into the dressing and toss. Serve within 4 hours after mixing.
